My recommendations for movie watching this week, 1/2-1/9, 2015, in Los Angeles:

ON NETFLIX: Chinese Puzzle, the third in an autobiographical series by filmmaker Cedric Klapisch, follows the hero Xavier as he moves to New York when his ex-wife relocates there with their two children. A fun, enjoyable comedy. And it has Romain Duris and Audrey Tautau.

ON HULU: Harakiri, one of the most devastating Samurai films you will see. At a time when Samurai are no longer needed and are forced to threaten to kill themselves in order to just get food and support, a Lord calls a Samurai on his threats and forces him to commit Harakari, leading to another Samurai to seek revenge.
